EXHIBITION HIRE

Regular exhibitions take place in the Hall. Past exhibitions have included renowned local artists Antony Bridge, Ed Elliott, Trudi Foggo and Sue Firmin, as well as 1950s Art and Design, featuring artists such as Barbara Hepworth, Terry Frost, Henry Moore and Ben Nicolson.

The Hall, Green Room, Bar and Bar Corridor are the perfect spaces for an exhibition and are suitable for all disciplines, from art and photography, to textiles and sculpture.

The Hall, which has a tall ceiling and an abundance of natural light is fitted with a gallery standard hanging picture rail system. Exhibitions can be set up by hirers themselves, or by the Elmslie Team (pricing for which is available on request).

Exhibitions are generally booked on Fridays-Sundays, to accommodate regular weekly term-time classes. However, we do dedicate at least one week of the year outside term time for certain exhibitions.

We discuss with you what you’d like to exhibit and for how long, taking into account if you’ve exhibited before and how much involvement you need from us (Elmslie House staff!).

We can also provide marketing support including placing press adverts and social media campaigns depending on your budget or if we decide to take a percentage in commission.
