We are delighted to be welcoming back Marie-Louise Taylor to Elmslie House.
Many years ago Marie-Louise performed a beatuiful Debussy recital on the piano we had on loan from the previous owner, Julia Palmer-Price.
However, when the time came to look for a replacement instrument, Marie-Louise put us in touch with the gentleman from whom we sourced our current Steinway Grand - and we are very much indebted to her for this - so it seems very fitting that she will be returning to Elmslie to (finally) perform on it herself!
So join us for a Sunday afternoon of beautiful piano music from Mozart, Chopin, Debussy right through to work from the contemporary Malvern based composer, Liz Dilnot Johnson. Doors will open at 2.45pm for ticket holders to purchase tea and cake prior to the performance starting.
Programme:
Mozart Sonata in C major 'Semplice' K545
Chopin Nocturne in C sharp Minor (op post)
Chopin 'Barcarolle' op 60
Debussy Prelude 'La Fille aux Cheveux de lin'
'Brouillards"
Debussy Ballade
Liz Dilnot Johnson from Anagrams 'Jigbaradosh'
Chopin Polonaise Fantasie Op 61
